The Korean Service Center is a nonprofit, social service organization that provides needed services and resources to the Korean community.

KSC was established in 1991 to assist 1st generation Korean Americans and their families in Minnesota. KSC is the only social service organization that assists the Korean immigrants in Minnesota. We provide supportive resources and services to Koreans and other immigrant Americans and strive to promote their rich cultural heritage for all international people.

KSC provides two major programs:

1) Long-Term Care: this program provides older adults with services such as access service (interpretation/translation), welfare assistances, assisted living, home chore service, congregate dining, home delivery meal, physical exercise, gardening, and grocery shopping. We serve more than 120 older adults, and most of our clients are non-English speaking Koreans who are welfare recipients. We, currently serve more than 50 assisted living clients who mostly live in the Minneapolis Cedar-Riverside area

2) Community Enrichment: this program is designed to serve families and children of the Korean immigrant community by providing various services, such as counseling, youth leadership program, and caregiver support services. With the funding from the Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative (EHDI), we started the “Senior School” program for the people who are over age 60 and conducted several workshops related healthcare, nutrition, technology use, and art activities.  Also, our Caregiver Support program provides group meetings on the caregivers’ mental health, parenting, and dementia. KSC recently started its new Community Solution for Healthy Children project  to help children of prenatal age up to third graders.
