Young people don’t always walk into a counseling office and say, “I need help.”
Sometimes it starts with sitting next to someone they trust. A conversation over a snack. A hard day. A question. Or an adult noticing that something just isn’t right.
That is why we bring licensed mental health professionals directly into The Wave.
They spend time with young people in a place where relationships already exist and where kids already feel comfortable. They can answer questions, help a young person work through something difficult, teach coping skills, and recognize when more support may be needed.
And our kids use them.
The challenge is that funding for this work is getting harder to find, even while the need has not gone away.
We are raising $12,000 to help keep licensed mental health support available at The Wave.
At $100 an hour, every $100 raised provides another hour with a licensed mental health professional available to our young people.
This doesn’t have to come from one large donor. It can be $25, $50, $100 at a time.
Because these are our kids. And when one of them needs someone to talk to, we want that support to be right here.
Help us reach $12,000 and keep mental health support where young people already are.
