Jennifer's No Place Like Home Fundraiser for Youth

Home is the promise of a better tomorrow for the young people I work with that are exiting homelessness in our communities. The housing crisis that hit our local and national economy about 10 years ago is still having an impact. Its increased the demand for rental properties and driven up the costs of rent, as well as the rental requirements that are nearly impossible for a young person to meet on their own. 

Many of the young people, I work with each day are employed and looking for opportunities to advance themselves. Some are finishing up GED requirements, and others have entered into college. They have managed to maintain their day to day life in staying in their vehicle for a place to live and sleep, enduring abusive relationships to have somewhere to stay, camping outside when there are no other options of places to turn. This journey of a young person's  homelessness experience is unfathomable. The support that you give to The Link provides the immediate help that is so desperately needed. From July of this past summer through September of this year - it has taken only 9 days to move a youth out of this situation into stable housing. That is because of you, and the show of support from the community members that are our most valued partners in this work.
