Spirit of Giving

Northern Lights Community Action is a non-profit located in Cloquet, Minnesota.   We are a local community resource store offering second hand goods and community support.

The store was set up for several different reasons.  To provide a local resource to those who may be struggling. We offer voucher programs, donations, and support to many local agencies including, county social services, FDL, Domestic Abuse Agencies, United Way, and Salvation Army.   

We provide employment to people with life challenges who may not be able to find employment in other places. These individuals may have found a forever job, or they are simply building their skills to move on to their dream job. 

Not only has this store helped hundreds of people and employed dozens, but every bit of the proceeds are used to support our local community. Since opening on 6/1/2021, we have provided 15 children with back to school supplies, 40+ families with winter gear, and 101 individuals with Christmas gifts.  This does not include short term fuel assistance, food assistance, and much more!
