Our Mission

To provide cross-cultural communication, leadership, and advice to enable Saint Peter to be a caring, supportive, and welcoming community for people of all racial and religious backgrounds.

The major objectives of the council are:

  • To help build long-term supportive relationships that cross racial and religious lines and signify our belief in being good neighbors for each other.

  • To foster ongoing cross-cultural communication both within the Council and the larger community.

  • To identify specific needs of various groups in the community.

  • To partner with church and community groups to foster joint, multi-racial, multi-religious charitable activities to help people of need in our community.

  • To build multi-ethnic leadership and encourage active participation by representatives of all groups in the civic and cultural life of St. Peter.

  • To encourage and support the celebration of the diversity of cultures within the St. Peter community.

  • To encourage community support for local St. Peter businesses, including minority-owned and operated enterprises.

  • To partner with the school and other agencies to educate St. Peter citizens about the history, culture, and contributions of our varying ethnic and religious groups.
