THANK YOU
What an incredible Give to the Max Day! I'm excited to start on my 4 new embroidery projects. This will be my last post, but Give to the Max goes until Midnight. Actually... beyond! You could STILL donate to my page tomorrow or the next day!
And frankly, it's that kind of continued support that the arts need to survive this pandemic. Thank you so much for your help.
Till next year, <3 Rachel
Dear Friends and Family,With your help, we can ensure this is #JustAnIntermission for our industry.
To say this year went differently than planned is an understatement...but through each cancellation, each meeting spent combing through executive orders, and each iteration of "the plan" (plan A. and plan B. quickly gave way to plan W., etc.,) I have been inspired by the resiliency of the incredible group of people I work with at the Commonweal.
After cancelling our 5 show season in June, we switched to producing theatre virtually... a challenging shift we threw ourselves into because we believe that in times of crisis, art is a necessity, not a commodity.
The future is uncertain. With Covid-19 cases spiking in Minnesota, it remains unclear when we'll be able to host in person performances at our theatre... But to give is to hope. And as we face another cold winter, we all need a little hope to get us through to 2021.
Below is a note from Hal Cropp, Producing Artistic Director of the Commonweal. We both thank you for your contribution in any amount. Any amount helps! Thank you for supporting our cause.

The Commonweal Theatre belongs to you. Our success is defined by the ways in which we are actively serving and connecting with our community. In the current climate, it means helping people simply feel better by relieving stress and anxiety through our storytelling. It means a full company of professional artists being able to reconnect with you in bringing to life the stories that will uplift, challenge, and inspire the entire family for years to come. To that end, we have been grateful to offer you Root River Anthology, Art of the Entertainer, and Fully Committed, with yet still two more shows to come before the end of the year. We hold dearly our connection with you, and we look forward to connecting with you in person again.
Any amount you give today is vitally important and will go a long way towards ensuring that we are here to serve you in the years to come. We care deeply about the people who make our work possible, and your donation will be put to use sustaining our core company of Artist Administrators, therefore ensuring that the Commonweal itself can continue its mission in the years ahead.
Thank you,
Hal Cropp, Producing Artistic Director
