Just a Stone's Throw Away from Ending NF

It's been a great year for Stone and our family! We are raising a full on teenager with another one coming up and we couldn't be having more fun. Stone started middle school this year and has been succeeding all along the way-mostly straight-A's, joining National Junior Honor Society, becoming involved in musicals and other school activities, and has a core group of friends. Looking back, we knew there was a possibility of a much different story for Stone. While we can never know for any child what their story will be, there was a point in our lives with Stone where we waited and watched for the worst to come. While we are beyond that point now-we are acutely away of how quickly that can change due to the unpredictability of NF, and the impact it continues to have on Stone every day. Still, we continue to celebrate the victories, knowing that we have support of organizations like NF Upper Midwest.
