The Lord has been doing some amazing things through our ministry partners and it is a precious gift to come alongside them as we work together to be the hands and feet of Christ . Including something that came at a complete surprise this past year.... the honor to free 2 orphaned slave boys in Pakistan. The story is a beautiful story of the freedom we have in Christ and how He is in every single detail. These 2 young boys need an education. One wants to become an evangelist and bring Jesus to his people, and the other has a heart to work so that he can free more kids from slavery.
On Thursday, November 20th, you have the opportunity to join us through Give2theMax Mn. Our goal is to raise $5000 in order to pay for the schooling for the boys, and to help free their friends from the same fate they faced a few months ago....a lifetime of slavery in the brick kiln yard.
Ti be completely honest, until I was presented with this need, I was naive and blind to the concept of modern day child slaves. Or perhaps, it just seems too barbaric to fathom. And when presented with the need, I cried for days. I dug in, did my research, and prayed, then prayed some more. There were some who advised me not to get involved.... but the stirring was so great. One day, in prayer, the Lord spoke.... " But I brought you these 2 boys for a purpose."
Again, only God knows why. Our job is to go as He leads, where He leads. This story has changed me. As a mother, as a ministry leader, as a human. In reality, Isaiah 52 Ministries, has been given the vision to be an encouragement to the church... the global Body of Christ, and we know that we may not change the world.... but we cam change someone's world through the gift of being faithful when the Lord calls us to rise up.
Will you join us in being the hands and feet of Christ? To help these precious young orphaned boys to know the great love of the Heavenly Father?... A father who is in the details, Who knows the desires of our hearts when those desires seem too immeasurable to fathom.
