Important donation directions

Donations to Manna Food Co-op go through our fiscal sponsor: Cooperative Development Fund of CDS. When you click the donate button above, be sure to select Manna Food Co-op in the General Fund drop-down menu under Designation, AND the Fund Designation list further down the page.

Please note that the Donate page will reference that you are making a donation to the Cooperative Development Fund of CDS, as will the thank you letter you receive.  Cooperative Development Fund of CDS is our fiscal sponsor, and this process is necessarily set up to use their 501c3 charitable donation status. You can trust that your donation will go to the Manna Food Co-op.

Manna Food Co-op have served the Detroit Lakes community since we were first organized in 2015, fostering health and wellness while supporting local entrepreneurs and farmers. We’re a business with a mission – independently owned by over 1,000 local families.

We’re expanding to 801 Washington Avenue in 2025 and asking for your support to supercharge our mission:

• Shared Commercial Kitchen: A $350,000 investment in a kitchen to support local food ventrepreneurs. An affordable starting point for budding food businesses, existing caterers, or farm operators trying a value-added enterprise.
• Long-term Anchor Business: We’ve simply outgrown our current 1,700 square-foot space. Our expansion will not only double our retail space, but also provide a path to ownership and make us a positive anchor business and food source downtown.
• Investment in our Community: A highly visible building in the downtown business district, let’s make this property shine.
