The Plymouth Crime and Fire Prevention Fund (PC&FPF) is rallying the community to support public safety -this time with a 2025-2026 fundraising campaign to purchase a new police K9 for the Plymouth Police Department. This marks the fifth time the organization has led such an initiative, continuing a tradition that began in 1994 when they helped launch Plymouth’s first Police K-9 Program.

Here’s a quick timeline of the PC&FPF's K9 contributions:

  • 1994: First campaign to establish the K-9 Program
  • 1997 & 1999: Follow-up campaigns to expand the unit
  • 2021: New K9 added to the team
  • 2026: Current campaign underway to bring in a new K9 on the department

Every dog funded by these efforts has played a vital role in keeping Plymouth safe -whether through search and rescue, narcotics detection, community engagement, or assisting outside agencies. If you’re interested in supporting the 2025-2026 K9 campaign, please donate here!
