Mary's Fundraiser for The Guiding Star Project

When my husband and I were engaged and learning about NFP, I was not just amazed but shocked at what we have the ability to know about our bodies and our fertility.  I immediately thought to myself, why doesn't every woman (and medical professional) know about NFP?  Why are we waiting until woman are engaged or married to even promote it?  Why aren't we teaching this to all woman and girls?  I knew that not just my daughters, but all my children, would grow up learning about and knowing what NFP is.  I had not met anyone or any organization that thought the same way, until my friend Patricia introduced me to the Guiding Star Project.  Guiding Star's vision and mission to teach women and girls or all ages about natural fertility is what initially drew me into the movement and organization.

The Guiding Star Project is so much more though, bringing women's health and education to girls as young as 9 years old all the way through menopause, providing education and services through our 4 core services of Natural Fertility, Pregnancy Care, Breastfeeding, and Motherhood. 

I've had the honor of being a National Board Member of the Guiding Star Project for the past 3 years.  Guiding Star Project has a vision and plan to bring birth centers to all 50 states and you can be part of that plan by contributing today!

While the Guiding Star Project is a national movement, it is based out of Minnesota and Guiding Star takes part in the GiveMN Campaign every year.  Please consider giving to the Guiding Star Project this holiday season.
