Eating a healthy lunch leads to improved classroom behaviors & cognitive functions!
Many families struggle to pay their bills, including their children’s school lunch balances. Rochester Public Schools is committed to making sure all of their students have access to a warm and nutritious lunch because research shows that students who eat full, nutritious meals like the ones provided by the school for breakfast and lunch have improved cognitive function, higher test scores, better attention spans, better classroom behavior, and fewer absences.
The Random Acts of Kindness organization is taking this cause on head-first. By partnering with Rochester Public Schools, the RAK group hopes to raise $50,000 to help pay for unpaid lunch balances. Donations raised above and beyond $50,000 will be kept in a special fund to pay off future outstanding lunch balances.
On behalf of Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) and Rochester Public Schools, thank you! Your donation will make a difference in the lives of our community's youth; our future generation.
