An affiliate of the Southwest Initiative Foundation, the Montevideo Area Community Foundation benefits the Montevideo area in Minnesota.

Mission Statement
To inspire generosity and to promote philanthropy that benefits the Montevideo area, now and in the future.

Grant total since inception (including grants made for operating expenses): $76,579

Fiscal Year 2016 Grantmaking:

Awarded grants totaling $5,560

Chippewa County Fair Association to support the bathroom remodel project at the fairgrounds that will provide a private and quiet place for mothers to nurse and rest with an infant

City of Montevideo to build community support for the idea of public art, add at least one new public art piece per year, initially use publically owned sites and spaces for the new public art

Community Animal Resource, Education & Support to assist area residents in need of assistance with emergency veterinary bills

Kinder Kare to purchase iPads for each classroom for staff and children
