Critical Thinking, Independent Spirits, One Community
Parkway is the first Montessori middle school in Saint Paul Public School history. The school opened in fall 2013. It's located in the former Parkway Elementary School – newly renovated just for us – in the northeast quadrant of Saint Paul. It began with sixth and seventh grades in 2013 and expanded to eighth grade in 2014, Parkway will teach standards-based SPPS curriculum in the Montessori way: independent inquiry rooted in each student’s interests and learning style.
A beautiful building is home to one of the few Montessori middle schools in Minnesota. Students enjoy freedom to learn, explore and understand the world around them.
Instruction is based on guiding each child to discover his or her individual strengths, needs, likes and learning styles under the Montessori philosophy. Students are greeted by large, raised-garden beds, providing a wonderful way to connect with nature, explore the science of food and experience the cycle of the seasons.
Your donation will help provide Parkway students with supplies, tools and learning opportunities beyond the exceptional curriculum they already receive. Thank you for considering a gift to our school.
