YWCA ST. PAUL CORE PROGRAMS
Housing and Supportive ServicesYWCA St. Paul’s range of housing programs combine affordable housing with customized support services that help participants stabilize their lives, build new skills, connect to community, and secure a future of safe, stable housing. Services include subsidized apartments, financial and life skills education, and assistance in navigating school, health, and community resources. Our family-centered programs also provide support for early childhood development and help children of all ages excel in school and at home.
Employment Services
Participants are empowered to become self-sufficient and stabilize their families through employment.
- YW Works
Empowers people to maximize their economic self-sufficiency and stabilize their families through employment support services that meet the individual participant needs and strengthen cultural connections.
- Digitals Skills
Participants learn computer skills and are given individual counseling with support to navigate a career path where they can provide for themselves and their families.
- Housing Stability Initiative
This initiative is a unique approach designed for families as participants work to increase their income through employment. HSI provides financial coaching curriculum, direct financial assistance, advocacy with landlords/property owners, and holistic programming to promote healthy families.
Youth Development
YWCA St. Paul works with older youth focusing on youth employment readiness and youth empowerment. For example, in collaboration with the City of St. Paul, YWCA St. Paul works with youth participating in the Right Track program.
The program connects young people to internships where they are exposed to the workplace and career possibilities. It provides soft skills training, digital skills training, financial literacy and other life skills, laying the groundwork for a future of personal and professional success.
Racial Justice
YWCA St. Paul works to advance Racial Justice to provide a better understanding of how racism and gender inequality impacts our lives. We inform and empower members in our community to advocate for racial justice and gender equity through events, workshops, conversation, and trainings. Our Racial Justice initiatives help educate individuals, organizations, and donors to fight racism, gender-based violence and to equip those affected and our community to work towards equality.
Health and Fitness Center
YWCA St. Paul’s Health & Fitness Center welcomes people of all ages, races, and backgrounds, and offers a variety of group fitness classes, cardio and strength-training equipment, swim lessons, sauna, hot tub and personal training.
Your health and safety is our top priority and we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming experience for all members.
