Dear Friend of Camp Olson,

This past summer we welcomed children and families back to Camp Olson following last year’s “lost summer.” Whew! It was good to get back to doing what we do best! We are proud to report that we had no Covid cases all summer. That says plenty about our careful work to implement new safety protocols. We are grateful for the trust shown by families and the support we received as we navigated this pandemic.

This summer demonstrated, more than ever, the benefits of Camp Olson and its positive impact on children.

After being in a distance learning mode all of 7th grade she really did need to get out and be around kids her age. She loved being in the water and canoeing!!!! I can't believe she survived a week without her phone!!!

Your support makes all the difference in assuring that Camp Olson delivers a safe, welcoming, and unforgettable experience to youth and family campers.

Help us meet our $150,000 annual fund goal. Your gift will go to work immediately to support these organizational priorities in the coming year:

  • Scholarship Assistance. The pandemic has created or intensified financial difficulties for many families. Inability to pay must not be a barrier to attending camp. Our scholarship fund assures that every child, whether a new or returning camper, benefits equally at camp.
  • Affordable Fees. Keeping session fees affordable remains a top priority at the same time that fees have never covered the full cost of our operations. We rely on contributions to make up the difference rather than pass on the full cost to families.
  • Competitive Wages. We have amazing counselors and seasonal staff that must be rewarded financially for the great work they do. We are committed to raising our seasonal pay in order to recruit, hire and retain the very best staff.
  • Welcoming Camp Culture. As the demographics of communities and our campers change we are committed to investing in and nurturing a camp culture that is welcoming and inclusive.

Please give generously. Support this place we all treasure. Your gift, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated.

With deep gratitude,

Jenny Sall, Board President

Russell Link, Executive Director
