Woodbury Rotary Community Fund is the only non-profit charitable organization in Woodbury MN devoted to helping youth

The Woodbury Rotary Community Fund (WRCF) was created for one single purpose: to accept tax deductible contributions for projects and programs initiated and completed by the Woodbury Rotary Club. These Rotarians are very dedicated to making the City of Woodbury a better place to live. An Endowment (WRCFE) was started to financially support only youth-focused projects and programs, and is seeking contributions from many sources including individuals, companies/businesses, and other foundations to continue their work. All proceeds from this endowment will have a single purpose: to make the city of Woodbury a better place for youth to live!

The WRCF’s long term goal is to raise $500,000 for the Endowment’s youth-focused community projects!

Woodbury Rotarians have made incredible youth-focused accomplishments over the past 13 years with the financial support of the WRCF:
    • Raised over $235,000 for construction of a Miracle Field for youth with physical and mental disabilities. The primary use is baseball, but it is adaptable for other sports such as soccer. The Woodbury Rotary Jeff Hanson Memorial Miracle Field was turned over to the City of Woodbury’s Parks and Recreation Department and is home to the East Metro Miracle League.
    • Raised $38,000 to support a homeless youth program in Washington County run by Canvas Health.
    • Raised $20,000 to support operational costs of robotics teams from all four high schools in ISD 833.
    • Annually award scholarships to high school graduates committed to continuing education that will lead to careers in some form of humanitarian service.
    • Annually send 2-3 high school juniors to camp RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Academy); it is a 3-day leadership training experience that receives continual raves from attendees.
    • Contributed $5000 for start-up of The First Tee of Woodbury (under the leadership of The First Tee of St. Paul, MN). It is run by Eagle Valley, Woodbury’s public golf course, and teaches character-building traits in addition to golf skills.
    • Raised $40,000 and worked with the MN DNR and the City of Woodbury to construct and install an 84-foot fishing pier on Powers Lake; also paid $2,000 to have the lake stocked with walleye fingerlings.
Please know that WRCF operating costs are held to an absolute minimum! No member of the Board of Directors accepts any form of compensation. All BOD meetings are held in members’  business offices with no charges being incurred. Legal, accounting, computer, and marketing services are donated by Woodbury Rotary Club and WRCF BOD members. The only expenses incurred are for the organization’s legal filings (fees charged by state and federal governments) and production of materials for fundraising or expenses associated with the actual process of fundraising.

Donations to the WRCF will increase the Endowment, and Woodbury Rotarians will continue their youth-focused programs and projects, making our community a better place for youth to live. We sincerely appreciate your financial support and pledge to continue making incredible accomplishments.
