Help Us Share the Healing Power of Music
Music magnifies our happiness and soothes our sorrows. Please help Women of Song continue to bring the comfort and joy of music to our audiences and communities with your donation.
Women of Song is a nonprofit choir that relies primarily on the support of our concert audiences. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our concerts have been put on hold.
As we begin to see light and hope in these difficult times, Women of Song offers women of all ages a way to gather together to share music and fellowship. Looking to the future, we are beginning to navigate how to once again safely rehearse and perform in person. Your donation will help us tremendously with this transition, including incorporating the use of new safety measures, new technology and producing new recordings. When the time comes when we can again share our music live in concert, your support will allow us to continue to expand our performances to live and online audiences.
Music connects humanity in good times and bad. Enriching lives by singing and sharing our love of music is needed now more than ever. As well as hoping to resume our regular concert performances in the near future, Women of Song is looking forward to planning a concert tour. We look forward to someday soon sharing our music and humanity with choirs and audiences not only in Minnesota, but around the world.
About Our Choir
Women of Song is an adult women’s community choir providing an opportunity for lifelong choral singing of high caliber music since 1986. The choir includes women of all ages - from their 20s to 80s - from across the Twin Cities. We seek to provide free will offering concerts whenever possible. Our concerts have included performances at the Minneapolis Veterans Home, Fort Snelling Chapel, Special Olympics, senior centers, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Holidazzle, and professional sporting arenas. As ambassadors of music and Minnesota, Women of Song has achieved a broadening of our members’ horizons and understanding of the world by participating in choral festivals and competitions in the United States, Salzburg and Vienna, Austria, and Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales.
