Help Us Share the Power of Music
Music magnifies our happiness and soothes our sorrows. Please help Women of Song continue to inspire and uplift audiences!
Women of Song is a nonprofit choir that relies primarily on the support of our concert audiences. We are women united by our love of music and the desire to create a supportive experience for our members. We also have a passion to share the joy inspired by music! We strive to enrich the Twin Cities and surrounding communities by holding free-will offering concerts whenever possible. We also share our music in a variety of settings for those who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend a performance. We love to collaborate with other choirs, local and international, as well as feature professional and student instrumentalists in our performances.
Your donation allows us to continue sharing our music in settings such as elder care facilities and veterans homes. Your support also lets us continue our free-will offering concerts, offer affordable membership and scholarships to our choir members, and engage local musicians for our concerts.
About Our Choir
Women of Song is an adult women’s community choir providing an opportunity for lifelong choral singing of a wide variety and caliber of music since 1986. The choir includes women of all ages - from their 20s to 80s - from across the Twin Cities. We seek to provide free-will offering concerts whenever possible. Our concerts have included performances at the Minneapolis Veterans Home, Fort Snelling Chapel, Special Olympics, senior centers, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Holidazzle, and professional sporting arenas. As ambassadors of music and Minnesota, Women of Song has achieved a broadening of our members’ horizons and understanding of the world by participating in choral festivals and competitions in the United States; Salzburg and Vienna, Austria; and Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales. Most recently, the choir completed a tour of Prague and Vienna in June of 2022, including a friendship concert with the award-winning Prague Mixed Choir.
