The Wildwood Manifests...

The Wildwood Theatre was founded in 2017 by theater artist, David Albino with a uniquely empathetic mission in the arts. Our first four seasons saw significant growth and support from the Minneapolis community, which boasts the 3rd largest theater market per capita in the nation.

The Wildwood Vision

At The Wildwood Theatre, we use storytelling as a means to understand and awaken empathy--by walking through the Wildwood, we learn a deeper understanding of ourselves in order to enact change.

Our focus remains on the destigmatization of mental health because at this very moment, there is a crisis happening. A crisis of lives lost is families broken, all perpetuating cycles of mental illness.

Wildwood Theatre began its mission in 2017 where it merged the worlds of storytelling and mental health. The theater has always served as a catharsis for both the performers and audiences. The aesthetic distance establishes strong connections with those experiencing the performance. That bond is where the Wildwood hopes to enact change.
