Ruth is 57 and works at a part-time clerical job.  Her husband is 62 and has been out of work for 2 years. Ruth is depressed and anxious about making ends meet.  He is depressed and angry and is not willing to seek marriage counseling because he believes it is a waste of time and money.  Through therapy she is helping herself find positive ways to embrace challenges and cope. Because Westminster Counseling Center offers therapy through a sliding fee schedule, Ruth is receiving the help she needs. 

Westminster Counseling Center helps many people like Ruth. We help more than 350 individuals and families annually with more than 1,400 hours of counseling, education and consultation thanks to the generous support from individuals like you. Our staff can help at 5 locations; Oak Grove Presbyterian Church (Bloomington), Grace Trinity (Uptown), Bethlehem Lutheran Church (South Minneapolis), Bethlehem Lutheran Church (Minnetonka), and downtown offices at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Counseling Center integrates the spiritual and psychological dimensions to promote hope and self-worth for individuals, couples, and families.

Our therapists help those struggling with anxiety, grief and loss, battling depression, or grappling with other life challenges.  In addition to being licensed psychotherapists, Westminster Counseling Center's counselors are all licensed mental health practitioners. We offer our services to people of all faiths and no faith.  We respect different religious and spiritual orientations; we do not assume or impose religious beliefs.
