Revitalizing West Broadway:

Through Affordable Commercial Space & Community Investment

The West Broadway Business and Area Coalition (WBC) is transforming an historic American Indian High School on West Broadway Avenue’s commercial and cultural corridor, into a community cultural hub. After purchasing the building in 2025, WBC has been working to redevelop the building into what will be the center of the corridor for business and community support.

West Broadway is a historically disinvested corridor where small businesses, especially BIPOC-owned face critical barriers:

• High commercial rents
• Limited access to build-out-ready storefronts
• Lack of supportive infrastructure
• Without intervention, entrepreneurs are priced out before they can grow.

This project builds on momentum from major public and private investments already taking place across Minneapolis and will provide opportunities for small businesses to scale while creating jobs for the community. We need your help to raise funds that will contribute towards the success and completion of this new project.
