Climate change is already destabilizing our world. In Minnesota, we are seeing extreme heat, heavy downpours, and flooding that affect infrastructure, health, agriculture, forestry, transportation, air and water quality, and more. We are all in the greatest race against climate-warming emissions whether or not we signed up to be. But the worst effects of climate change can still be avoided. We All Need Food and Water acknowledges that we are in the greatest race of all time AND that doing anything but running our fastest is chickening out! Now is the time to go the extra mile and give it our all, not sink into despair and apathy, tuning out the climate crisis, believing we’re doomed, and it’s too late. One story and event at a time, our programs are reshaping unhelpful, paralyzing narratives into solution-based stories and adventures rooted in equity and kindness.

Community FUN (Future Unfolds Now) Events 

From sleigh rides to sailing, our free intergenerational activities bring diverse people together to have fun and connect people to climate solutions. Language interpreters, ride assistance, warm clothing, and specialized equipment are provided upon request to ensure community access. Sign up!

Green Light Puppets—"Go" Actions for People and the Planet

Stories shape society. We playfully educate kids and their caregivers, emphasizing the importance of “we” thinking (having the good of the community in mind) as well as helpful actions people can take to promote personal and planetary health. Children go home with their own sock puppets they make and copies of our show scripts so they can continue telling the stories—and hopefully create stories of their own.

Clean Economy Educators—Making Sub Days Feel Like Field Trips

Underutilized substitute teacher days will be transformed into valuable class time—like an in-school field trip—with the Clean Economy Educators program. Substitute teachers equipped with high-quality, engaging lessons will educate middle and high school students about pressing issues and solutions and connect them to meaningful career opportunities in the growing but currently under-trained clean energy economy. Join us in creating a pathway to a more sustainable future by collaborating with educators, community partners, environmental organizations, and substitute teacher staffing companies.

Create Our Future

Working with Hollywood industry professionals, we’re combining environmental education and screenwriting (film and TV) to help shift our narrative away from doom and helplessness to one of comedy and action, aiming to “re-write our future.” While these are definitely challenging times, this is also an extraordinary time to be on the planet and influence the direction of civilization.

Absolutely everyone is welcome at our FUN Events. But not everyone has the means to get there, especially since some of our FUN Events are on the outskirts of town where public transit may be limited, and other people may have special needs. We promise, if you want to come to our event, we will do everything we can to make it happen.

$50 scholarship for a participant to attend a Create Our Future screenwriting workshop

Our screenwriting program is "pay as you can." Help a struggling a writer paricipate in influencing our society's most important narratives. There’s still time to choose and create the future we want. TV and film have the power to reach a broad audience and help people reimagine a sustainable future.

$150 Covers Translation Services

We care about reaching everyone. We provide translation services for all our events upon request.

$ 250 pays for a Green Light Puppets program

What we learn with pleasure we never forget. These shows playfully educate kids and their caregivers about taking care of themselves and others by protecting the planet we all depend on. 

$ 500 covers script development and practice for our Green Light Puppets program
