"I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human begin can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." ~Oscar Wilde

Washington Technology Magnet School is a Saint Paul Public school serving over two thousand 6th-12th grade students on the north end of Saint Paul, MN.  Washington serves an ethnically diverse range of students, with over 90% receiving free and reduced lunch.  As there is currently no established theater department, your giving will help create new opportunities for students to engage in the theatre arts.

At Washington, we believe in the transformative power of theatre.  We believe that creating and sustaining a theatre program will not only make possible high quality productions and opportunities for students to get involved in the arts, but will build essential life skills such as responsibility, problem solving, and creativity in our students.  Through theatre, our students will build self-confidence, celebrate diversity, and collaborate to break down racial, ethnic, and other barriers to build relationships and form community with one another.

Please help us make this dream of a thriving Washington Technology Magnet School Theatre Department a reality!  A gift in any amount will have a great impact on our brand new program!
