Please Help Washburn Running Club Buy New Uniforms For Our Team

The Washburn Running Club supports runners in Cross Country at Washburn High School in Minneapolis. We have a proud history of top runners, both current and alumni. More importantly, we have a team of boys and girls that welcome everyone on the team and support all runners in their personal successes. Every runner, at every pace, is supported and celebrated.

As a public school in the Minneapolis district, we do not have the funding that other teams may have, but we are a tight community that takes great pride in our school and our team. With a team averaging between 50-75 students each season, the funding we receive from the district cannot cover the needs we have for our team. We strive to create a close-knit community where all runners feel like an equal part of the team.

However, we have uniforms that date back from 2014 (the last time we ordered a full set of uniforms for the team), and some of our team members even have uniforms as old as 2008! What is worse, some of our teammates do not have uniforms that match the rest of the team (see the photo above for variations used this season!).

Providing all runners with the same uniform creates a sense of cohesiveness among the team and gives us a sense of pride when we race against other teams. We are raising money to purchase 75 full matching uniforms for the girls and boys Washburn Cross Country team.

Your support gives Washburn public school students a chance to show their pride at races and gives the team a feeling of unity. Please help us raise the funds needed to replace the uniforms for all the Washburn runners, both present and future!
