Welcome to Warrior Dog's Give to the Max page!
Warrior Dog continues to work hard and save the lives of the dogs who are left wandering or abandoned. In 2022, we continued to settle in to our new home, The Dog House in Savage. Being a rescue with a facility means we are able to provide more for our dogs and we can be a better rescue for our fosters.
As always for Warrior Dog Rescue, our goal for this year's and the years coming is to be able to say "YES" to the abandoned and neglected pups as often as we can. Our new facility that we so dearingly call "The Dog House" has 4 rooms for mommas and puppies and a few kennels for adult dogs. We have offices and a big back yard that is fully fenced for our pups to run and play and be safe. Having our facility allows us to be able to say "YES" more often resulting in more lives being saved.
In 2022, 218 dogs have found a safe place to live within the walls of The Dog House. This number doesn't include all the dogs who have found refuge in our amazing foster homes. In 2022 alone, Warrior Dog has saved 608 dogs and since our start in 2017, Warrior Dog has saved 2,911 dogs with vet bills totally over $907,000 over the span of 5 years. Thankfully, with the help of our donors and the Warrior Dog Community, Warrior Dog will continue to save and continue to be able to say "YES" to every dog who needs us.
For Give to the Max 2022, Warrior Dog invites you to become part of our community and join us on this journey!
Warrior Dog Rescue is a no kill, non-profit, volunteer dog rescue committed to serving the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and suburbs in the state of Minnesota. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs that are left abandoned in shelters, are being surrendered by their owners, or animals that are being abused and neglected.
We will use Warrior Dog Rescue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country.
To give back to other non-profit organizations that share our same end goal of ending dog homelessness, we have launched a program called "Unchained". This program sends groups of our trained volunteers to our partner in Alabama where we work in the shelters alongside their volunteers and help them with the needs in the community.
We see the need for responsible dog rescues across the country and realize the need is not just in our own state. Every single dog deserves to live in a good home… every single one of them. We will do what we can with the resources we have to provide every dog that crosses our path with a chance at the “good dog life”. In saying that, we can only commit to what we can do with the funds that we raise and the funds that are donated.
We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a thorough adoption process which includes a detailed application, education about responsible ownership, and a completed home visit and reference check.
All of our Warrior Dogs will receive age appropriate vetting. Among the adults in the shelters, we also take in and treat many Heartworm+ Dogs, surgical cases, homeless pregnant mommas and litters. Donating to Warrior Dog would help pay for all of their vetting. In just over 5 years of rescue, Warrior Dog has paid out over $907,000 in vet bills for these sweet souls.
The Warrior Dog Rescue team is committed to working hard for the dogs, the adopters, its fosters and volunteers, its shelter partners and for you, its donors. We are so grateful for all of our volunteers and to you for partnering together to continue to grow Warrior Dog Rescue so that more dogs can be helped! Thank you!
