Walker Hackensack Akeley is a K-12 public school in rural northern Minnesota with a student population of 750.

Community Education provides out of school time, academic and recreational youth and adult enrichment programs. Due to inadequate funding, most programs are fee based. However, in our school over 50% of children are at or below poverty level and cannot afford the fees. The generous support of contributors allows every child the chance to participate. We emphasize athletics, creativity, arts and science, citizenship and academic support.
