Anishinaabe Youth Powwow Club on the trail to the 2015 Denver March Powwow
Our Anishinaabe students (Minnesota Chippewa Tribe) are raising funds to make it to the 2015 Denver March Powwow. This is the nation's 2nd largest intertribal powwow and is our 2nd year making the trip. Our youth have been working hard on building their regalia, learning and singing songs, competing and practicing at local events, and displaying our learning for our community (Bois Forte Reservation). We are driving from Tower, MN to the Denver Coliseum, March 21-23. Our group consists of 8 high school students, all members of Bois Forte Reservation (Lake Superior Ojibwe).
