Across Minnesota, thousands of our neighbors are losing access to food assistance they rely on to feed themselves and their families.

Changes to SNAP are already affecting thousands of Minnesotans. Some neighbors are losing benefits they’ve counted on to buy groceries, while others must meet new requirements to keep that help.

But losing food assistance doesn't mean grocery money suddenly appears somewhere else.

For many families, every dollar they bring home is already spoken for.

Rent still has to be paid, the electric bill is still due, and the car still needs gas to get to work.

When there is nothing left for groceries, a neighbor may be left wondering: Will there be enough food for my family?

As these changes take effect, neighbors will turn to VEAP because there simply isn’t enough money left for food.

When they do, you can make sure food is here.
