Valley of Rochester Scottish Rite
Children’s Foundation

Our Children’s Foundation was established in 2007 as a 501 (c) 3 charitable institution. It provides a means for individuals to extend the influence of their lives beyond their lifetime. It is governed by an independent Board of Directors.

Our Mission Statement

The Valley of Rochester Scottish Rite Children’s Foundation is dedicated to providing funding for quality, state of the art learning services to children in need regardless of race, color or creed or ability to pay. We strive to include the whole family in the therapy process, so that all are involved and empowered to help the child become a successful life-long learner. We believe every child should have the opportunity to attain the very best training using all available tools.

Our Foundation entered into a partnership with “The Reading Center” in Rochester, Minnesota. They are a world-class treatment center using the Orton-Gillingham approach for childhood language disorders that focus on dyslexia. Please view their website at www.thereadingcenter.org. Our role in this partnership primarily involves the funding for those children in need of their services who might not be able to afford the necessary testing and treatment as well as training teachers in Southern Minnesota to recognize the warning signs of dyslexia.
