Upstage Theatre

Upstage Theatre formed in May 2019 in Stewartville, MN, to promote community theatre year-round in an under-served community.  To date, we have staged 2 different shows and are beginning to stage our third and largest show for 2020!  Our shows have been successful in bringing in audiences that would otherwise not have thought to go to a live staged show.

In addition to our regular seasons, we provide children and families educational opportunities to learn about performance arts through workshops and individual lessons.  Utilizing music and movement exercises, children are immersed into the creative processes that develop character building, teamwork, and social development.  These skills will not only help them as they continue in theatre, but will help the individuals to become more adept in their social and professional future.
