Rev. Louis Tillman started Black Excellence Spiritual Collective (BESC) through one-to-one conversations with over 50 Black young adults in the Twin Cities area. These conversations led to connection, community, and the desire to collaborate around three issues: healing from trauma, financial literacy/racial wealth gap & mental health.
Now is a critical time in the life of BESC. We need to make sure that we have the necessary funds to keep convening and supporting our community during these difficult times--as well as the resources to start gathering in-person once it is safe to do so.
BESC is part of the University Episcopal Community's network of ministries--which also include a worshiping community, a regional small group facilitation network, an emerging Latino mentorship program and an intentional community house. All funds raised here will support BESC.
