United Way has always worked on issues that impact under-served communities and vulnerable populations, focusing on issues that impact individual and collective success – education, health and both financial stability and mobility.

With your help, United Way of Steele County:

1. Helped 1,107 children receive free books every month through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library
2. Prepared taxes for over 200 low-income individuals and families
3. Saved 12 people $2,610 through prescription medication discounts
4. Provided 374 individuals with web-based mental health support and services
5. Connected local nonprofits with 235 new volunteers and 3,950 volunteer work hours through our Volunteers United program
6. Responded to 1,159 211 calls and texts
7. Served 411 Ellendale community members
8. Assisted 1,251 Blooming Prairie residents
9. Helped 919 people living in Medford
10. Provided services to over 19,991 individuals in Owatonna

The 2023 Campaign will fund over 30 local programs that strengthen families. Your financial support will assist community members in meeting their basic needs like increasing access to healthcare and obtaining affordable prescription medications. When you give to United Way, your donations go further. Every dollar ensures that the entire safety net of human services is available to our friends and families when they need it the most.
