Not all dogs have an easy start. In fact the majority of dogs rescued by Underdog last year started off on the wrong paw, through no fault of their own. The generosity of our volunteers, donators and adopters is what has allowed these Underdogs a new chance at life.  It is because of you that we can continue to completely transform the lives of former breeding dogs, as well as local shelter dogs. Every penny counts, every volunteer effort counts, every life saved matters.

In 2022, we spent over $250,000 on vet bills alone. The other financial constraints that go into the costs to rescue each pup include: gas, transportation, food while in foster care, basic supplies (leash, harness, collar, dog beds)…and the list goes on. With support from hundreds of volunteers, we have rescued more than 12,000 animals since 2000! In 2021, we completed 720 adoptions and in 2022, we complete 866 adoptions.  To date, in 2023, we have completed 730 adoptions.  We have many more pups on our Adoptable Dogs page hoping to be part of our Alumni and we cannot wait to see what new faces we welcome in the remainder of 2023 and into 2024!
