The Ukrainian American Community Center (UACC) mission is to promote, preserve and share Ukrainian heritage, traditions and culture by bringing together Ukrainian Americans and the broader Twin Cities community. Through activities such as traditional folk dance, music and the arts we build community, instill ethnic pride, and contribute to the cultural diversity of Minnesota.
2021 “Welcome Back” Fund Drive
The Ukrainian Center is warmly welcoming all Ukrainians and friends back to our community’s cultural home to celebrate, gather, serve, and share our rich traditions, culture, and heritage.
As we rebuild and reboot during this time of COVID-19 we need your continuing financial support. Your involvement is critical.
Donations from this Fund Drive will be applied to current identified needs of operating expenses, gym renovation and sports programming, and community room gathering rooms updating. Dedicated donations to other areas are always welcome.
Become a Supporting Member of the Ukrainian Center with annual donation of $120.
Providing a "Home" for Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble
In a post COVID 2021 reboot, the Ukrainian Center "Welcomed Back" our most highly visible and popular cultural activity - in person dance practices of the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble.
Cheremosh acts as our community's cultural ambassadors thru their many performances, including their Annual Spring Concert, Ukrainian Heritage Festival, Festival of Nations, the MN State Fair and even at the International Ukrainian Dance and Culture Festival in Lviv, Ukraine.
Cheremosh is comprised of 6 subgroups based on age and skill level, ranging in age from 4 years old to young adults in their 20's. Their practices utilize every room at the Ukrainian Center. Cheremosh also uses storage space for hundreds of costumes and meeting rooms for administration.
It makes having a "Home of our Own" vital to preserving and sharing our dance heritage, our "Tansi".
