We rescue animals in need of medical care, many of whom may not have had a chance without our mighty little rescue! We rely solely on your support & donations!

Tuff Start Rescue is a small (but mighty!) 501c3 animal rescue, focused on animals with advanced medical needs. TSR is run by a veterinarian and a highly-dedicated, compassionate team of volunteers, fosters and supporters. Tuff Start Rescue kiddos range from healthy rambunctious kittens, to sweet adults with chronic medical conditions and special needs, to the beloved seniors, who have us wrapped around their purrfect little paws. We love each and every one of these little "lemons" so much and pride ourselves on making sure they receive only the very best care! 

Many of the cases we take in commonly require emergency, surgical or specialty care, including but not limited to: advanced imaging (CT or MRI), referrals to specialists (surgery, ophthalmology, internal medicine), ultrasounds, emergency hospitalizations, medical, surgical & dental procedures, as well as the cost of chronic medications and prescription diets. Our ability to continue helping those who need it most, is only made possible by the people who believe in and support our mission!
