Education and historic preservation

The purpose and mission of the all-volunteer Minnesota Streetcar Museum is to preserve and communicate to the public the experience of Minnesota's electric street and interurban railway history. To accomplish this mission the Museum operates historic Minnesota streetcars at two demonstration railways at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis and Excelsior, Minnesota. The Museum also publishes a quarterly history magazine and a newsletter for its members.
