Movies are magic. Help Trilingua Cinema bring more magic to more people!
Since 2020, TriLingua Cinema has hosted free and low-cost diverse film screenings and events by and for the East Side Saint Paul community. Started by East Side residents, TriLingua Cinema creates spaces for curiosity, connection, and storytelling through film. In a time when so many feel divided, we know coming together to watch and discuss films builds empathy, understanding, and a stronger community. At TriLingua Cinema, we screen movies in English, Hmong, Spanish, and other languages in community-accessible spaces that reflect our community. Our ultimate goal is to open a multilingual brick-and-mortar movie theater on the East Side!
We're entering an exciting new phase of growth.
After five years as a mobile pop-up cinema, we’re opening a micro-cinema at the East Side Freedom Library, creating a consistent weekend home for multilingual films, local stories, and community conversation. At the same time, we’re launching a Youth Advisory Council and expanding volunteer opportunities to support more regular, community-rooted programming.
Your donation helps us build the capacity needed to grow sustainably, including:
Equipment, staffing, and coordination for consistent screenings
Youth leadership and creative learning opportunities
Volunteer training and program support
The foundation for a future permanent neighborhood cinema
Every gift, large or small, helps create a space where neighbors and friends can gather, see themselves on screen, and connect through shared stories.
