TriLingua Cinema

A nonprofit organization

Movies are magic. Help Trilingua Cinema bring more magic to more people!

Since 2020, Trilingua Cinema has hosted free and low-cost diverse film screenings and events by and for the East Side Saint Paul community. Started by East Side residents, TriLingua Cinema creates spaces for curiosity, connection, and storytelling through film. In a time when so many feel divided, we know coming together to watch and discuss films builds empathy, understanding, and a stronger community. At Trilingua Cinema, we screen movies in English, Hmong, Spanish, and other languages in community-accessible spaces that reflect our community. Our ultimate goal is to open a multilingual brick-and-mortar movie theater on the East Side!

This winter, we’re taking an exciting next step towards this goal by partnering with the East Side Freedom Library (ESFL) to open a flexible micro-cinema in the Library’s lower level. This new space will allow us to host more consistent and regular weekend screenings, special events, and launch our year-round film and community talk collaborations with ESFL.

Your support during Give to the Max Day helps us strengthen our programming, improve the movie-going experience, and build the foundation for a lasting home for film, culture, and community on the East Side. Support TriLingua Cinema — Give to the Max!
