TRADEMARKTHEATER takes great pride in developing and producing new plays and musicals, but that's just where our work begins. We see ourselves as a support system for artists; the people who dream up the stories of tomorrow for adventurous audiences like you. Building opportunities around our art where we can connect and explore stories in a shared experience is essential to what we do, and we need your help!

Season 9 is a year of expansion, growth, and ambition for Trademark. We are taking bigs steps ahead of our 10th anniversary season to ensure we establish ourselves as a vital and long lasting non-profit that uplifts and champions daring new theater in the Twin Cities. 

This Give to the Max Day, we have three essential initiatives that need YOUR support to achieve...



Initiative 1: Support our new staff members. With the launch of Season 9, we have welcomed our first Managing Director, Merritt Rodriguez, to lead the business and administrative aspects of our growing company. And just last month, we added new Development and Marketing Manager positions. These roles are essential to widening and deepening our impact on our local arts ecosystem. Help us provide our staff with a salary for their incredible work. Help us help us provide our staff with meaningful compensation for their incredible work. 

Initiative 2: Support our commissioned artists. At our Season 9 launch party, we introduced our newest class of commissioned artists: Hannah Bakke and Emma Lai (developing a new horror musical, LOCUST), Vinecia Coleman (developing a new meta-play about the -hilarious and eerie- haunting of theater, titled THE FEBRUARY PLAY), and Max Wojtanowicz (developing a new musical solo cabaret, PANSY). These artists are telling stories at the forefront of the American Theater. Help us to give them the time, resources, and funding they need to bring their stories to life!

Initiative 3: Support our ambition. Trademark has been making daring and bold new theater for nearly a decade. We have seen our impact on our community grow through our commitment to our values, our artistic excellence, and our long term support of artists. In the next ten years, we envision Trademark as the “new works hub of the midwest;” a company led by visionary artists where both local and national theatermakers can explore bold ideas, take big risks, and bring to life the stories of tomorrow. To get there? We need your help.



When you give to Trademark Theater, you’re not just donating… you’re co-creating. You become part of the artistic journey from the spark of an idea to powerful live performance experiences they become.  With your support, together we can: 

  • Commission 3 new works each season from local artists.
  • Increase the number of paid workshops and public readings, ensuring diverse voices receive both creative freedom and financial stability.
  • Deepen our outreach, bringing adventurous theatre to new audiences and creating pathways for participation beyond the stage.
  • Strengthen our production infrastructure so that every story is presented with the highest artistic and technical standards.
  • And we can fortify our administrative foundation, ensuring Trademark provides the community with innovative works long into the future

MATCH UPDATE: Thanks to the generosity of the Trademark Board of Directors and other Trademark supporters, $2,500 has been committed as a matching gift. To unlock this match, we need to raise the first $2,500!
