The mission of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is to sustain a world-class chamber orchestra at the highest standards of artistic excellence that enriches the Twin Cities community by sharing dynamic, distinctive and engaging performances. We are actively committed to accessibility and intentional inclusivity in all aspects of our work and continually strive to provide all people in our community with opportunities to connect with the music we perform.
Community support powers the SPCO
Our community is essential to the SPCO’s music-making. After all, performances are not complete without an audience to receive them – nor can we make and share music without audience support! Audience contributions are the SPCO’s largest and most sustainable source of support, and your gift of any size makes a difference.
With community support, the SPCO is sharing distinctive musical experiences with a record number of people. Even amidst the challenges of this past year, more people than ever before came together around music through the SPCO’s free digital Concert Library — more than 280,000 households since March 2020, including residents of nearly all counties in the state of Minnesota.
With community support, the SPCO can not only visit neighborhoods throughout our community, but also maintain the most affordable ticket prices of any professional orchestra in the United States, including free tickets for children and students.
Gratitude from the SPCO community
Each day we receive messages from audience members sharing the impact of music in our community. In gratitude for your important role in making the SPCO possible, we’re sharing just a few of these messages here.
“We appreciate the ways the SPCO has continued to bring music to the community during these long, hard months. Our return to in-person concerts has provided new energy and hope.”
"Thanks for bringing us into the wonderful, creative SPCO family tonight."

“The SPCO community means so much to me. Their energies, time and resources could go anywhere, but instead they’re focused on the SPCO. It’s hugely inspiring.” —Zachary Cohen, Principal Bass
