The A-list is a one-stop-shop for youth where teens can get a job, participate in afterschool programs, and showcase their talent!

The A-list is a teen hangout in Brooklyn Park, MN, that serves as a one-stop-shop for youth.  At The A-list, teens can get a job, participate in educational afterschool programs, and showcase their talent at evening events.

What makes The A-list unique is that is its social entrepreneurship component.  The teens themselves generate 30% of the revenue to support the organization by working at The A-list snack bar or producing custom screen-printed t-shirts for businesses, organizations, schools, and individuals.

The organization keeps teens safe by providing opportunities focused on three mission elements--entrepreneurship, education, and personal growth.

The A-list was founded by undergraduates at the Carlson School of Management in 2008.  Leveraging their international-award winning business plan, they raised over $500,000 in monetary and in-kind donations from partners like Cargill, General Mills, Best Buy, Target, and the Pohlad Family Foundation.  Then, they renovated an old hardware store into a premier place for youth.  The A-list opened its doors this April and now serves hundreds of teens every week!
