At The Negative Space, our mission is to change the way family caregivers are seen and supported. 

Our goal is to provide all of our services at little to no cost to caregivers. 
To accomplish that, we need your help.

The Negative Space provides the following support to family caregivers of all kinds:

Fueled by what she experienced firsthand as a caregiver for her husband for fourteen years, our founder and Executive Director, Allison Breininger created The Negative Space so that caregivers could have a place where they are both seen and supported. 

In addition to the direct services we provide, The Negative Space is also actively working to change the way caregivers are seen and supported systemically. Known as a caregiving expert, Allison was recently featured in REAL SIMPLE magazine, is helping ensure that caregivers are included in Minnesota's Cancer Plan, and is a regularly featured speaker for employers, employees, faith leaders, health advocacy organizations. 

The impact we have had in our first three years has been immense, but we're just getting started. We have big ideas about how to expand our reach and meet the needs of caregivers even more intentionally. Our goal is to raise $25k for 2025 between now and the end of the year.
