To improve access to essential drugs, basic healthcare, and prevention services for children and families in the developing world using business models that maintain standards, are geometrically scalable, and achieve economies of scale.

Programs

The HealthStore Foundation (a 501(c)(3)) operates the CFW franchise network in Kenya, and has also launched a CFW franchise network in Rwanda which is now run by an offshoot organization (One Family Health).  The CFW franchise health network in Kenya, launched in 2000, is harnessing commercial business format franchising to improve access to essential drugs and basic health services and to correct for low clinical standards that make much of the care that is available ineffective. CFW clinics are standardized outlets owned and operated by Kenyan nurses; CFW clinics distribute low-cost drugs and services necessary to treat prevalent health problems that cause suffering and death in rural areas. They also provide community education and prevention services. The CFW network in Kenya has served over 4,000,000 people since inception.  See more at www.healthstore.org
