The Great Northern Union Chorus

The Great Northern Union Chorus is an internationally acclaimed and award winning a cappella chorus based in the Twin Cities metro.

The Great Northern Union Chorus (GNU) is an internationally recognized, auditioned male-identifying barbershop and a cappella chorus based in the Twin Cities.  Our mission is to change lives of audiences and singers alike by creating nearly flawless, unaccompanied vocal music, performed with deep passion and great energy.

We envision a world where all people are singing and everyone is listening. We believe such a world would be more harmonious in every way. In all that we do, we seek to promote a lifetime of singing among a diverse community of men. 

One of the Great Northern Union's goals is to get people singing--everyone and everywhere!

Toward that aim, the GNU has hosted a number of different concerts and programs throughout the years, including:

* Sing With Our Ears, a program focused specifically on bringing singing and barbershop to the youth of metro area schools and communities of color. 

* Real Men Sing, a broader program for young men featuring a full day of singing, learning about barbershop and building community.

* Collegiate Men's Chorus Collaboration, a concert series in which the GNU takes the stage with some of the best collegiate-aged men's choruses in the region.

* Outreach Tour, in which GNU picks a direction and hits the road, bringing the chorus's high level of performance and singing talent to out-state Minnesota communities.

A donation to the GNU will help us to both keep harmony in our lives and continue these programs in the future.
