The Family Partnership's anti-sex trafficking program, PRIDE, provides support services to sexually exploited individuals and their families so they can live a life free of exploitation and abuse. Our PRIDE drop-in center is open to all who have exchanged sex for income or housing.
Last year, 230 survivors of sexual exploitation walked through our doors. They found a non-judgmental space to access warm meals, hot showers, and a safe place to rest. For many, it was the place they took their first steps away from the life of trading sex and towards a brighter future.
Will you help survivors take their first steps towards healing?
Your gift provides resources to meet survivor's immediate needs so they can rest, recover, and focus on their healing. When someone comes to the drop-in center in crisis, your support ensures that they are greeted with:
Meet Cheyenne
Ten years ago, Cheyenne was living on the streets and experiencing sexual exploitation when she heard about a place where she could do her laundry for free. Hesitant but hopeful, she walked through the doors of The Family Partnership's PRIDE drop-in center.
That single step changed everything.
At our drop-in center, Cheyenne found a warm meal, hot shower, and a safe place to rest.
She also found a non-judgmental place with support and resources to begin her healing journey.
Once her immediate needs were met, Cheyenne was able to look toward the future. Her ultimate goal was clear: regain custody of her son. She knew the first step in her journey was to get sober. Cheyenne started meeting with a PRIDE case manager to set goals and develop new coping skills. As she built more stability, she was able to get sober and exit the life of trading sex.
Over time, Cheyenne tapped into additional resources from The Family Partnership for support along the way. She saw a mental health therapist to address her past trauma and worked with a parenting educator to develop self-regulation and parenting skills. For years, Cheyenne took step after step towards the future she envisioned with her son. She found housing, stayed sober, and remained focused on her biggest dream: bringing her son home.
Today, that dream has come true. Cheyenne is parenting her son full time in their new home. She'll be there for bedtime stories, birthday parties, and next year when he starts kindergarten—taking first-day-of-school photos and walking him into his classroom.
Read Cheyenne’s full story to learn how her persistence led to a new start for her family.
Your generosity opens the doors for survivors of sexual exploitation to take steps toward long-term healing and brighter futures for their families—just like Cheyenne did.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps clear the path for healing, hope, and opportunity!
