Many of our seniors and low income families have income of about $400-800 per month. There is not much money left for the foods many need to eat. Many of our clients have health issues. Some of our clients need to use milk substitutes, no meat, high fiber, fresh foods such as fruit and salads etc. The very foods they need to eat to improve their health... they cannot afford to purchase. Because of the relationships we have with companies like Whole Foods Market, we can offer mostly fresh organic foods to the people who need them most. Can you imagine a local food pantry serves about eighty percent organic foods? One typical comment from clients is, "Getting the food you have, has improved my health." Another comment is "You have the best food shelf in the cities." When we hear comments like these... we know we are doing the right thing and stepping up to the plate.
