Since 1970 The Bridge for Youth has impacted 50,000+ homeless and runaway youth. Help us provide hope and stability for the next 50 years. Your support today will help us reach our goal of raising $20,000 during GTMD2020.
The Bridge serves the most vulnerable youth, with effective, youth-centered programs that offer a pathway out of poverty and chronic homelessness. Current programs include:
Youth Response Center: Available 24/7/365 provides immediate support and resources for youth and families. We also host YSNMN.org, a mobile app connecting youth with available shelter and resources in real time.
Youth Housing Programs:
Resilience House: Emergency shelter available 24/7/365, focused on family reunification whenever safe and possible. Provides temporary shelter, meals, access to healthcare, case management, and support for up to 14 youth ages 10-17.
Gloria’s Place (opened August 2020): Emergency shelter for up to 6 homeless, pregnant/parenting youth (ages 15-17) and their children (ages 0-3). Provides temporary shelter, case management, access to healthcare, and parenting education.
Marlene’s Place: The first and only site-based transitional housing and case management program in Hennepin County for up to 5 homeless, pregnant/parenting youth (ages 16-20) and their children (0-3).
Rita’s House: An intentional living community providing affordable rental housing and teaching independent living skills to 12 youth ages 18-21.
Outreach & Support Services: Connects with youth in need on the streets and in the community through street and site-based outreach, school partnerships, community education; counseling, aftercare, support groups; and specialized case management services for crime victims, and LGBTQ+ youth.
