💛 Fueling Hope for Families Affected by Brain Injury

Brain injury is one of the leading causes of death and disability among children, young adults, and adults in Minnesota. 100,000 Minnesotans live with disabilities from brain injury, with falls, bicycle crashes, violence, and strokes among the leading causes. Children, young adults, and vulnerable populations are at highest risk, and the long-term impact on families is profound. About one in four adults with TBI cannot return to work a year after injury.

That’s why TABI Oasis exists. We stand beside families navigating the overwhelming challenges of traumatic and acquired brain injuries. From the first hospital visit to months and years after, we provide gas cards, groceries, lodging, and compassionate support so no family feels alone.

💛If I donate, how will my money be used?

During our Give to the Max campaign, all funds raised will go directly to gas gift cards for families facing overwhelming travel costs to the hospital. One family we helped made over 100 trips, traveling 45 miles or more each time.

TABI Oasis works quickly—within 24–48 hours—to deliver up to $555 in gift cards to families in need. Your donation ensures families can focus on being together when it matters most, not on the cost of getting there.

💛What impact has TABI Oasis had?

Thanks to generous supporters, TABI Oasis helped 32 families last year alone, providing over $20,000 support. 

Together, we:

• Paid a family’s lot rent, preventing eviction during crisis

• Repaired vehicles so loved ones could continue vital hospital visits

• Provided coloring and storybooks to children visiting injured parents or siblings

• Supported dozens of families with gas cards, including one who made over 50 trips from East Bethel to Regions Hospital in 7–8 months
