The Lake Country Chorus has been empowering women and entertaining the community since 1968. We have also participated in service events, including community education through the school districts. The Lake Country Chorus is a small, very friendly group of women who provide a strong support system for each other.
This has been an exciting year for us! Our director, Sandy Bergersen, just celebrated 50 years of membership in Sweet Adelines International. We celebrated on August 14th with a gathering of just over 100 friends, family, and chorus members. We have also been able to sing at church services this summer and a couple of performances in the community.
Some of our needs now include updating our costumes and obtaining a new sound system.
Once again this year, we are teaming up with the Greater St. Paul Northstar Chorus to put perform two Christmas shows: one at Roseville Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 27th at 4:00; and the other at Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday, November 29th at 7:30. It will be exciting to sing with them again! We have some great music planned, and we hope to see you there.
We will also be participating in the Wildwood Series A Capella Festival again, at the Mahtomedi High School Performing Arts Center, on April 1, 2023. It showcases a number of high school, college, and community groups, showing how singing can be a lifetime hobby.
Visitors are welcome to join us at any time! For more information, visit www.lakecountrychorus.org. (Lake Country Chorus of Sweet Adelines)
We can't wait to see what the future holds for us next year!
