Help us build CREEKSIDE Clay Courts!
Creekside will be the second set of public clay courts in Minneapolis! The new Creekside courts will be nestled along Minikahda Creek at 32nd Avenue and 46th Street in South Minneapolis. (3199 East 46th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55406)
These courts are free of charge and open to the public! First come, first served. The courts provide an inter-generational gathering space for people with widely varied socio-economic backgrounds. Clay tennis courts are easier on players joints and environmentally friendly.
‘Support the Courts' is assisting 'Minneapolis Community Clay Courts' in rallying community members and tennis aficionados to invest in the courts and in our community.
Every dollar counts, let’s smash this out of the park!
Waveland Triangle, the first public clay courts in Minneapolis received a 2024 National USTA Outstanding Facility Award! For more information about Minneapolis Clay Courts please visit www.letsplayclay.org
Support the Courts Foundation is an all-volunteer non-profit organization engaged in a citywide effort to reconstruct and upgrade public tennis facilities in Minneapolis.
Working with city leaders, park officials, neighborhood organizations, corporations, the United States Tennis Association and hundreds of individual donors, we have reconstructed 29 asphalt tennis courts and assisted with the construction of the first set of two public clay tennis courts in Minneapolis.
Minneapolis has a world-class park system, and tennis courts are a critical element of these parks. Public parks are part of the fabric of Minneapolis and contribute greatly to the quality of life in the city.
Tennis is an essential activity for kids in Minneapolis. The tennis courts are safe places to play. Tennis keeps kids out of trouble and helps them develop positive values and attitudes and healthy lifestyles. Kids playing tennis is an important antidote to crime and socio-economic disparities in the city.
