Support the Courts  Foundation

Support the Courts Foundation is an all-volunteer non-profit organization engaged in a citywide effort to reconstruct and upgrade public tennis facilities in Minneapolis. For more information about Support the Courts please visit www.supportthecourts.net. 

Working with city leaders, park officials, neighborhood organizations, corporations, the United States Tennis Association and hundreds of individual donors, we have reconstructed 29 asphalt tennis courts and assisted with the construction of the first set of two public clay tennis courts in Minneapolis. 

Minneapolis has a world-class park system, and tennis courts are a critical element of these parks. Public parks are part of the fabric of Minneapolis and contribute greatly to the quality of life in the city.

Tennis is an essential activity for kids in Minneapolis. The tennis courts are safe places to play. Tennis keeps kids out of trouble and helps them develop positive values and attitudes and healthy lifestyles. Kids playing tennis is an important antidote to crime and socio-economic disparities in the city.
